The mission of Project SUCCESS is to ensure that a
Catholic elementary school education remains available, accessible, and affordable to the many Catholic families of Santa Ana.

"It is the responsibility of the entire Catholic community—bishops, priests, deacons, religious, and laity — to continue to strive towards the goal of making our Catholic elementary and secondary schools available, accessible, and affordable to all Catholic parents and their children, including those who are poor and middle class." United States Conference of Catholic Bishops |
The goal of Project SUCCESS is to enable children and their families to choose a Catholic education in Santa Ana.
A Catholic elementary school education provides children with the skills and motivation necessary to continue on to higher education. To enable more children the opportunity of a Catholic education, resources are needed to maintain affordable tuition and to offer scholarships to families that cannot afford the cost of tuition.
In order to meet the goal of Project SUCCESS, the following objectives have been set:
$50,000 to each Project SUCCESS school for tuition assistance. The tuition assistance programs at our four schools will need over $600,000 to meet the needs of our families for the 2008-09 school year. Even with Bishop Brown’s generous plan to help our schools over the next two years with much needed tuition assistance, our schools will fall short in this area without your help.
$50,000 for curriculum enhancements and teacher salary increases. With the many ELL (English Language Learners) students we find in our schools today, we are seeing both the need and benefit of effective after-school tutoring and enrichment programs, which we hope to develop at each school site in 2008-2009. Our diocese has also put together a challenging and competitive teacher’s pay scale that will stretch our schools budgets over the next several years if we do not help them.
$25,000 for deferred maintenance projects. Many of our buildings are now over 50 years old and in need of repair - repairs that we would before not have considered due to budget restraints.
Since 2005, Project SUCCESS has raised over $550,000 to support the students of the Project SUCCESS schools. We thank all who have supported our schools, students, and families, and ask for your prayers and continued support as we move forward.
